Who we are
LUT Land (lutland.com) is run by Darren Hunt, trading as LUT Land, 6 Lewisham Terrace, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, GL13 9NP, United Kingdom. We sell digital colour grading files (LUTs and Lightroom presets). For anything to do with your personal data, email hello@lutland.com.
We are the “controller” of the personal data described in this policy under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
- When you buy something: your name, email address, billing country/address and order details. We use this to take payment, deliver your download, send your receipt and keep our accounts. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (tax records).
- Payments: card payments are handled by WooPayments, powered by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- If you create an account: your login details and order history, so you can re-download your purchases.
- If you email us or use the contact form: your name, email and message, so we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Newsletter: if you sign up, your email address, so we can send news about new packs and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Legal basis: consent.

Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to run the shop (for example, to remember your basket, your chosen currency and that you are logged in). These don’t need your consent.
With your permission, we also use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested. It only runs if you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Who we share data with
We only share what’s needed with trusted providers who help us run the shop:
- WooPayments / Stripe (payments and fraud prevention)
- Hostinger (website hosting)
- Brevo (newsletter emails – only if you sign up)
- Meta Platforms (advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies)
- Google (website traffic statistics through Site Kit, where enabled)
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or standard contractual clauses. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: 6 years, as required for UK tax purposes.
- Account details: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Messages to us: up to 2 years.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@lutland.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
